The Archiverse is getting a third series to its name in the form of Katy Keene.
Kicking off with Riverdale, Archie Comics seems to be blowing up in all of the right ways lately. We’ll let you decide how much to count Chilling Adventures of Sabrina as it’s on Netflix, but the universe is getting a new corner with the introduction of Katy Keene.
The series will follow Katy Keene (Lucy Hale), Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray), Pepper Smith (Julia Chan), and Jorge Lopez, AKA Ginger (Jonny Beauchamp) as they try to pursue their dream jobs in the rough and tumble world of New York City.

If you’ve been keeping up with Riverdale, this is indeed the reason that Josie has been written off the show. The idea was if Katy Keene wasn’t picked up that she would return, but now she will be off on this other series. Katy Keene is also reportedly set somewhat in the future of Riverdale, so she could crossover from time to time without much issue.
All of the broadcast networks will be holding their upfront presentations the week of May 13, with The CW’s taking place on May 16. We should learn more about the series at that time.
