Following the debut of the new season of Doctor Who on Sunday, Mattel and the BBC announced that preorders were now open for a Jodie Whittaker Barbie. As you can see, she’s dressed in the outfit that she picked up in the episode, down to her boots. And, yes, she also has the homemade sonic screwdriver she picked up during the episode as well.
While it’s amazing to think there is a Doctor Who Barbie on the way, I see a couple missed opportunities here. Maybe a higher priced two-pack with the regeneration outfit from Peter Capaldi as well as the new outfit? What about with a TARDIS? Perhaps if we can order enough of this first version we can work up to some future releases, because I really want a Barbie-scale TARDIS.
