Daniel Brühl will be reprising the role of Helmut Zemo in Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and it appears he’s bringing his mask this time.
Originally introduced in Captain America: Civil War, fans were disappointed that Brühl’s Zemo never donned his iconic sock mask.
It’s unusual, to say the least, and leaves an impression.
It was confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con that Brühl will return for the Disney+ series, and then went on to let the world know the mask was coming along this time. He then took to his Instagram to give us a blurry image of the mask.
It appears he may take on the more recent, redesigned mask, but at least it’s a mask.
So long as the mask is happening in some form, we’re happy. He won’t even need to wear it full-time to make most people happy.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier will debut on Disney+ in Fall 2020, and is considered a part of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
