ESPN Plus subscription prices are on the rise for stand-alone customers, and they’re substantial.

Disney has notified subscribers that prices will be going up beginning Aug. 13 for those customers with stand-alone subscriptions. The monthly rate will increase from $5.99 to $6.99, while annual subscriptions will move from $59.99 a year to $69.99.
The prices for UFC pay-per-view matches will not be seeing any increase at this time. Also holding steady is the Disney/Hulu/ESPN Plus bundle. Those who subscribe to all three services will continue to pay $13.99 a month, a savings of 30% over the cost of subscribing to the services individually.
The price increase comes as ESPN Plus has announced that it has struck a deal with the National Hockey League that will give the service exclusive rights to 75 games. The service has also struck a deal with the All-England Lawn Tennis Club for extensive coverage rights to the Wimbledon tournament. The latter deal will include films, classic matches, highlight shows, press conferences, and more.
Additional deals include more LaLiga football coverage and PGA Tour Live starting next season.
With the upcoming price increase, the bundle deal is looking better and better. If you subscribe to even two of the services, adding the third to get the discounted price is beginning to sound like an excellent idea.
