A new Masters of the Universe: Revelation trailer has arrived finally giving us some information on the plot of the new series.

It seems that all the magic has left Eternia following a battle that saw the Power Sword crack in two. Now Teela has returned from a mission to find Man-at-Arms and will help Prince Adam once again regain his ability to become He-Man.

As someone who enjoyed Masters of the Universe in the 1980s, seeing He-Man have an overarching plot is kind of surprising. The original series was just your usual 30-minute daily ad for a toy line. Skeletor would hatch a plan. Prince Adam would turn into He-Man. He-Man would be defeated again until tomorrow.

Will giving He-Man and his friends an actual plot work? We’re about to find out.

Masters of the Universe: Revelation Part 1 premieres July 23 on Netflix.
