After a year of near silence, the first Fate: The Winx Saga trailer has arrived, and it’s time to channel the elements.

It was first announced in Sept. 2019 that the Winx Club animated series was being turned into a live-action series at Netflix. Details were sparse, but we knew that Abigail Cowen (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) had been cast as the lead fairy, Bloom.
Fate: The Winx Saga follows the coming-of-age journey of five fairies attending Alfea, a magical boarding school in the Otherworld where they must learn to master their powers while navigating love, rivalries, and the monsters that threaten their very existence. From creator Brian Young (The Vampire Diaries), Fate: The Winx Saga is a live-action reimagining of the Italian cartoon Winx Club from Iginio Straffi.
Judging from the trailer, it looks as though the series will borrow a bit of flavor of other teenage supernatural series, and we’re totally find with that.
Fate: The Winx Saga will debut on Netflix on Jan. 22, 2021.
