Every open-world game has NPCs (non-player characters) who are there to round out the gaming world. They are always there, going through their motions, saying the same lines of dialog over and over.
But have you ever wondered what their lives must be like? What do they think when all of these crazy, customized, people come in and create havoc? Well, we’re about to find out in Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming action-comedy, Free Guy.
In Twentieth Century Fox’s epic adventure-comedy “Free Guy,” a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game, decides to become the hero of his own story…one he rewrites himself. Now in a world where there are no limits, he is determined to be the guy who saves his world his way…before it is too late.
The film will star Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Joe Keery (Stranger Things), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).
Free Guy will hit theaters on July 3, 2020.
