Bandai was at Toy Fair this with a nice mixture of anime, Disney product, and some of its own creations to kick off 2019.
It wouldn’t be right to start off with anything other than Dragon Ball. First up are the 6.5-inch Dragon Stars figures, but the big boys of the display were the 12 o 13-inch Limit Breakers series. Everyone needs a 13-inch Broly.
Bandai is bringing a limited amount of classic Godzilla products to the U.S. in various sizes. If you have your eye on the giant one, be sure to jump on it the second you see it as only 500 to 1,000 will be released in the country.
Bandai has a long relationship with various Disney properties, and this year it’s giving a lot of love to the Big Hero 6 animated series with various characters and sizes.
Meanwhile, the Disney Princess Power Pac figures are blind box and feature bonuses for the PAC-MAN: Ralph Breaks the Maze App.
Meanwhile, the Disney Kidea line is an all wooden toy line based on Disney characters which make great decorations as well as toys for the younger set.
If we had to pick any one item from Bandai it would be the “Squish to Fit Baymax” boxed set. His soft bean bag body lets him squish into his armor or the included car, and it’s just adorable when he does.
All told, it looks to be a promising year for Bandai.
