Super7 at Toy Fair: So retro it hurts

by Sean P. Aune | February 21, 2019February 21, 2019 7:30 am EST

Super7 is one of those companies that you wonder where they were when you were a kid. It is amazing some of the retro goodness it spreads to the world on a constant basis, and now it feels like everything is up for grabs.

… Super7 is making the robot butler from Rocky IV in the ReAction line. This is not a drill, folks.

Is there really any other action figure we need this year?

Alright, fine. here are the rest of the ReAction figures for this year. You can expect figures from movies such as Breakin’ and Teen Wolf, television shows like Pee-Wee’s Playhouse and Beavis & Butthead.

This year will also see the company expanding into the world of sports with both Legends figures and mascots in the ReAction line. And next year you can expect All-Stars.

One of the biggest surprises, however, was showing off the Bullpen Buggies cars. They look great, but definitely unexpected.

It seems like every toy company has some form of blind box item. Super7 has multiple styles from its cute Keshi line that will be adding Peanuts and Pee-Wee’s Playhouse this year, to new blind boxes for Alien and Masters of the Universe.

Other retro items coming from the company this year will include an expansion of its Super Soapies line, a selection of retro Halloween masks, and more Halloween buckets. Those Transformers are worthy of going on your shelf just as art pieces.

Wrapping things up are new deluxe figures, and even more expansions to the Masters of the Universe line. The upcoming Snake Mountain promises to be gigantic from what was explained to me at the show, and we can’t wait to see how exactly it turns out.

All in all, it looks to be a very promising year for Super7.
