Venom Wins a Second Weekend at the Box Office

Judging by the results for the second weekend of Venom, it sure seems as though Sony Pictures will end up moving forward with more Spider-Man spinoff films.

Venom took first place this weekend with $35.7M, dropping 55.5 percent. Domestically it has hit $142.8M and globally it already sits at $378.10M off of a $100M budget.

Second place went to A Star is Born with $28M in the U.S, a drop of just 34.7 percent. Globally it sits at $135.36M off of a $36M budget.

First Man opened in third place with $16.5M off of a $59M budget.

Fourth place went to Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween with $16.22M off of a $35M budget.

Smallfoot landed in fifth place with $9.3M for a new domestic total of $57.6M. Globally it sits at $110.2M.
