The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard wins the weekend box office

The box office continues to send very confusing signals about what will be working for ticket sales as the industry continues to recover from the pandemic.

First place this weekend went to The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard with $11.67M, bringing its domestic total to $17.02M.

A Quiet Place: Part II took second place with $9.4M. Domestically it now sits at $125.85M. Globally it sits at $187.39M.

Third place went to Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway with $6.1M for a new domestic total of $20.32M, and globally sits at $90.82M.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It landed in fourth place with $5.15M. Domestically it sits at $53.59M and $142.79M globally.

Rounding out the top five was Cruella with $5.1M for a domestic total of $64.73M. Globally it sits at $159.93M.

The next wide release is F9 on June 25.
