Super7 has been promising a Masters of the Universe Snake Mountain playset for what feels like years, and it’s finally here. However, you may need to break open your piggy bank for this one.
First off, the awesome parts. The Masters of the Universe Collector’s Choice Snake Mountain Playset is going to measure 36-inches high by 48-inches wide. In other words, this thing is going to be massive and is sure to be the cornerstone of your collection. Features include:
- Demon with moveable jaw
- Narrow bridge of red hot lava falls
- Functioning trap door
- Real chains to shackle Skeletor’s enemies
- Break-away wall secret entrance
- Skeletor’s table and bone throne
- Horrifying dungeon creatures
- and more!
Pre-orders are now open and run through May 31. The playset will set you back $600 plus $150 shipping in the U.S., but Super7 is offering a six-month payment plan on this piece. There are, however some caveats to this. Super7 says that if they do not reach an undisclosed order threshold, the playset will be canceled and all payments refunded. There is also a $100 deposit required that is only refunded in the case of the playset being canceled. If the playset hits its goal, and you change your mind, that $100 won’t be refunded.
There is no doubt this is an expensive piece, but based on size and detailing alone, we also can’t say it’s horrible. Large playsets are a rare thing in this modern toy industry due to cost, and shelf-space demands at retail. If toy companies want to do more specialized pieces such as this, you won’t hear us complaining.
