Star Wars Episode IX has completed filming.
J.J. Abrams took to his Twitter account on Friday to make the big announcement.

Of note here, of course, is the outfit Rey (Daisy Ridley) is wearing. Not only is it very similar to her outfit in The Force Awakens, but the color scheme matches the recently leaked images. It’s interesting to see her go with a white color scheme as the previous two trilogies have had the main Jedi character move towards darker tones as the stories played out. This certainly implies that Rey has fully rejected the Dark Side.
It’s going to be interesting to see where this story ends up. Will Kyle be defeated or turn? How does the Skywalker Sage finally wrap up after 42 years? We’re about to find out.
Star Wars Episode IX hits theaters on Dec. 20.
