The DC toy license has been split up. Dolls are at Mattel, high-end action figures are at McFarlane, and Spin Master gets the mass market releases. And the selection of what the company has coming is pretty awesome.
From basic figures and playsets, to 12-inch figures, there is something for everyone. We’re particularly fond of the 2-inch blind barrel figures. They’re a great value, especially when you add in that the barrel becomes a part of the toy.
Bakugan continues to expand, while Dragamonz seems to be enjoying a smaller success, but it still has new additions coming this year.
Scritterz is a new line launching this fall that will perch just about anywhere from your finger to your computer. Scratch their heads and they will begin interacting with you. Have more than one? They will interact with one another to amuse you.
Select the weapons, put your Ninja Bots near each other, and watch them fight it out. During our demo at the show it was kind of amazing how long these little fellas could go. And, of course, I picked the loser. That’ll teach me to try to be counter to the majority in picking a winner.
There’s a lot of interactivity on the way, and it looks like it will be a strong year for Spin Master.
