Mark your calendars for March 31, 2023 for the return of Ghostface. The latest Scream is wrapping up its theatrical run globally and has taken in $139.5M off of a $25M budget, so a sequel was definitely in the cards.
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are returning to direct. James Vanderbilt (Murder Mystery, Zodiac) and Guy Busick (Ready or Not, Castle Rock) will be writing the script.
As of right now, nothing about the potential plot has been revealed, or which, if any, of the survivors of the series will return to their roles. We’re sure some will return as is the tradition of the series.
Scream served as a soft reboot of the series, and it seems as though as we could be in for a few more entries down the road.
