Mortal Kombat fights its way to the top of the box office

Warner Bros. continues to prove that day-and-date home releases don’t mean bad news for box office results.

Mortal Kombat took the top spot at the box office with $22.51M. Globally it sits at $50.11M.

Second place went to Demon Slayer The Movie with $19.5M. Combined with its international haul, the film sits at a global total of $454.5M.

Godzilla vs Kong came in third with $4.2M bringing its domestic total to $86.57M. Globally it now sits at $406.57M.

Fourth place went to Nobody with $1.86M bringing its domestic total to $21.67M. Globally it sits at $38.16M.

Raya and the Last Dragon landed in fifth place with $1.68M this weekend. It now stands at $39.84M domestic and $101.8M globally.

The next wide release is Separation on April 30.
