If you’ve been anxiously awaiting news about Mindhunter season 3 on Netflix, we, unfortunately, have some bad news for you.
It has been revealed that the cast has been released from their contracts allowing them to seek other work. While it is not a definite death sentence for the series, it is not a good sign as actors may become unavailable should the series resume production.
The action was taken due to the busy schedule of series creator David Fincher who has multiple other projects in various stages of production. A third season of Mindhunter is possible, but it will depend on if he can make room in his schedule.
When Mindhunter was originally announced, it was revealed that there was a five-season story mapped out. If we will ever get to see the end of it remains to be seen.
Fincher’s next major project is a movie called Mank for Netflix. The cast of Mindhunter includes Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, Anna Torv, Stacey Roca, and Joe Tuttle.
