Do the Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Cosmic Candy earn a spot on your holiday shopping list? We sure think so.

Hatchimals has been around since 2016, and it continues to find ways to reinvent itself. Surprise is always at the core of the toy line, and layers keep getting added to the play experience. With the CollEGGtibles line – launched in 2017 – you get layer upon layer of enjoyment.

The latest addition to the CollEGGtibles line is the Cosmic Candy “Secret Snacks.” They arrive in what appears to be a translucent egg carton, and from there the fun begins.

At either end you will find one “Secret Snack” that has a character hiding inside their favorite snack. You push up on the bottom to reveal who you got.

You then have 10 more surprises to open. The majority of them will be reusable eggs. First you peel the sticker and you will find a symbol on the seal that lets you know which type of Hatchimal is inside. They could be gummy, fuzzy, and more. You break through the seal and then your Hatchimal is revealed.

There is also a chance of getting some complete mystery eggs that you need to break into and you’ll have no idea of what you’re receiving until it’s open.

Once you have them open, you are left with adorable, tiny Hatchimals. Thanks to the reusable eggs you can find all sorts of ways to play with them again.

If anything, the danger when you get to the end of opening this 12 is a feeling as if you really want a few more. The act of discovery is addictive and you find yourself quickly getting excited to see what Hatchimal you’ll open next.

At a $20 suggested retail, this is a home run for anyone in your life that is into Hatchimals, cute toys, or unboxing fun.
