Glass Wins the Top Spot at the Box Office

We now line in a world where an anime movie made it into the top five. We like this new world.

Glass took the top spot this weekend with $40.58M off of a $20M budget.

Second place went to The Upside with $15.67M for a new domestic total of $43.98M off of a $37.5M budget.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly was a surprise third place in its U.S. debut with $10.65M off of just 467 screens.

Fourth place went to Aquaman with $10.33M for a new domestic total of $304.33M. Its new global total sits at $1.063B.

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, landed in fifth place with $7.25M. It now sits at $158.25M domestic and $322.85M global off of a $90M budget.

This week’s wide-release will be The Kid Who Would be King and Serenity.
