After almost a decade, it seems that Screen Gems thinks we’re ready to head back into the world of Easy A.
Variety is reporting that Bert Royal is currently writing a follow-up to his original film. He has also been tapped to direct which will be his first time doing so.
Apparently, the story will be set at the same school as the original – Ojai North High School – but follow a different class of students.
There’s no word as of yet as to if any of the original cast would return, although it would be fairly easy to have the faculty members – Thomas Haden Church and Lisa Kudrow – still be working at the school. Olive (Emma Stone) also had a younger brother, Chip (Bryce Clyde Jenkins) in the movie, so he could also possibly appear.
No word on a possible release date yet.
