We’ve seen several trailers for Aquaman over the past few weeks. Now, get an intriguing behind-the-scenes look at how the movie was made.

The video provides a fascinating look at what it takes to create such a complicated film, giving us a look at the costumes, sets, and characters. A surprising amount of the film was shot with practical effects, despite a big chunk of the movie taking place underwater.

Along with several good looks at the movie’s action, the video also features in-depth interviews with the cast and crew, including director James Wan, who clearly has a passion for the upcoming film.

This is the one and only DCEU movie being released by Warner Bros. this year, compared to the three (Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Ant-Man and the Wasp) released by Marvel Studios.

Aquaman hits theaters on December 21, 2018.
