Game of Thrones is close to launching its final season, and at long last HBO has told us exactly when that will be happening.
After recently teasing us with a generic Game of Thrones season 8 premiere date of April, HBO has now returned and shared the specific date of April 14.
Everything has been building to this season, and it only seems fitting we kick things off with the few remaining Starks. We have to imagine more teasers are on the way that will focus on other remaining cast members, so we aren’t suggesting you read too much into the focus on the Starks quite yet.
Not much is known about the final season of the series yet, beyond the fact it will consist of six episodes, but everyone has said they will be longer than the standard 60-minute length.
Get our your Game of Thrones recipe book and invite your friends over for a viewing party, it’s going to be a wild, final ride… until the prequel series starts, that is.
