HBO continues to narrow down the release timeframe for the final season of Game of Thrones. The final six episodes will begin airing next April, which would mark nearly two years since season 7 ended.

To celebrate the show’s imminent arrival, HBO released a video recapping some of its biggest moments. It also helps hype up the great war the show has been building toward over the last few years.

Very little information is known about the final season of Game of Thrones, though we know it’ll feature the biggest battle ver seen on film or television. That and we’ll finally see the fight for the throne settled once and for all.

Waiting for the show’s final season to arrive has been a frustrating experience to say the least. And the fact that HBO refuses to say an actual date is even more frustrating.

Once Game of Thrones season 8 airs, fans will then have to wait for the Game of Thrones prequel, and thus the cycle never ends.
