Mobile Suit Gundam 00 ran from 2007 to 2009 in Japan and was a break in the decades-long U.C. storyline. Set in the year 2307, humanity is hunting for a new form of fuel following the depletion of fossil fuels. Three Dyson Rings, massive arrays of solar collectors, now orbit the Earth and are controlled by three different governments: The Union, The Human Reform League, and the AEU. While these groups rage war, the Celestial Being, a private military, develops advanced mobile suits called Gundams in the hopes of uniting the world.
