Netflix announces teenage cast for That 90s Show

Netflix has announced that is has found all of its teenagers for That 90s Show.

Point Place, Wisconsin will have a fresh set of teenagers when Leia Forman comes to town in the summer of 1995. She is the daughter of Eric (Topher Grace) and Donna (Laura Prepon) from the original That 70s Show and will be played be Callie Haverda (Shut Eye

Her new best friend, Gwen, lives next door and will be played by Ashley Aufderheide (Emergence). Gwen is described as a Riot Grrrl and the unofficial leader of the teens.

Mace Coronel (Colin in Black & White) will be playing the charming, and flirty – at least he thinks so – Jay. Maxwell Acee Donovan (Gabby Duran & The Unsittables) will be Gwen’s older, more laid back, brother. Reyn Doi (Side Hustle) is an insightful, gay friend who is growing impatient that the world isn’t as accepting of him as his friends. And rounding out the teens will be Sam Morelos as Nikki, Nate’s driven girlfriend with a rebellious streak.

The six new teens will join Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp returning as Red and Kitty Forman respectively. According to Deadline, Grace, Prepon, Mila Kunis, and Ashton Kutcher are in negotiations to appear in the series on a recurring basis.

It seems decades may have passed since the events of That 70s Show, but very little has actually changed.

Netflix has ordered a ten-episode first season for That 90s Show, but no word on a release date as of yet.
