This is part of our “Most Anticipated Movies of 2019” series where we take a look at some of the movies we’re most excited to watch in the new year.
The Fast and Furious family is expanding with a spinoff focusing on the duo of Hobbs and Shaw. The two characters don’t particularly like each other but will serve up a high octane action flick that features all the staples of the franchise, just with two bickering leads. Idris Elba, Eiza González and Mission: Impossible – Fallout alum Vanessa Kirby will round out the cast.
David Leitch, the director of Atomic Blonde and Deadpool 2, will helm the project that is sure to be a fun ride. Not much has been revealed about the overall plot, but it should be a globetrotting adventure with tons of impressive action scenes.
