This is part of our “Most Anticipated Movies of 2019” series where we take a look at some of the movies we’re most excited to watch in the new year.
2019 will deliver a brand new MCU superhero with Captain Marvel. The mysterious and cosmic superhero is going to change the fate of the Avengers forever as the post-credits scene in Avengers: Infinity War showed her being called with that old school pager.
But her journey is beginning earlier in the ’90s with a much younger version of Nick Fury and Agent Coulson. Eventually her path will lead her to joining our favorite superheroes in Avengers: Endgame, another entry into our Most Anticipated Movies of 2019 series.
On top of being the first Marvel movie focusing on a female protagonist, it will also be the first Marvel movie to be co-directed by a female director, Anna Boden, alongside Ryan Fleck.
