Hatsune Miku was one of the first virtual idols in Japan, and she’s still going strong. And now she’s going to help launch a new Kotobukiya series called Bishoujo ReMIX.
The Bishoujo ReMIX Hatsune stands approx. 9.7-inches and will include a guitar for her to hold.
The first entry in the BISHOUJO ReMIX series is Hatsune Miku stylized by Shunya Yamashita. Miku is illustrated and designed in Shunya Yamashita’s style as she plays her guitar on stage!
Miku’s trademark twintails are decorated with streaks of pink mixed with her signature hair color. The gradient of colors in her hair from her dark roots to light tips are realistically shown using a clear plastic to create an entrancing display.
Shunya Yamashita designed Hatsune Miku’s original outfit with frills all over, which was then faithfully recreated thanks to Kotobukiya’s expert craftsmanship. Emulating how her jacket moves and sways, this figure fully captures her performance as she strums her guitar on stage.

Seeing as this is the first in the series, we’re very interested to see who else the company will be adding.
The Bishoujo ReMIX Hatsune Miku will release in Sept. with a suggested retail price of $169.99.
