At long last, the first image has been revealed of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, the latest take on the iconic 1965 science fiction novel.

It has felt like this new remake of Dune has been in production forever, and we had yet to see any images from it. Now, thanks to Vanity Fair, we have seen our first photo of the new film.

The first image shows us Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides as he walks along the shore on his home planet of Caladan. It appears that the transports are approaching to pick up House Atreides to take them up to the Guild Heighliners in orbit above. Next stop: Arrakis… Dune… Desert planet.

On first glance, the House Atreides uniform looks like what you would expect from the film. Especially the deep green color of the trousers and jacket. The transports certainly seem to keep the odd angles of design that have been synonymous with the book series.

Warner Bros. also updated its social accounts for the film with a new version of the official logo for the film.

Reportedly we will next see a photo of Zendaya as Chani, Paul’s love interest in the film. It may also be our first look at what the blue eye special effect that is a hallmark of the Fremen and other residents of Arrakis.

Dune is due to hit theaters on Dec. 18.
