Gotham Season 5 Footage Debuts at NYCC 2018

Season 5 of Gotham is returning at midseason for its last season, and it looks as though things are not going well.

Gotham season 4 ended with the city in chaos thanks to Jeremiah (Cameron Monaghan) taking out the bridges. The series is going to jump eight months when it returns and show us a city completely decimated and gangs ruling the streets. The police are trying to regain control, and Bruce (David Mazouz) appears to be helping as well.

During the panel at New York Comic Con 2018, the first footage for the new season debuted, and it looks as though the city is very much in some dark days.

(Note, there is a season 4 recap before you get to the new footage)

We don’t see everyone in this trailer, and that’s more than likely to not spoil some of the cliffhangers we were left with. It appears that Barbara (Erin Richards) is still very much a crime lord, however. Because of shadows we can’t be sure that was the Riddler (Cory Michael Smith), but come on, we know it was.

Season 5 will be a reduced season and won’t return until midseason. It certainly doesn’t look like it will be boring.
