Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is getting a Christmas Special, and believe us, we’re as confused by this as you are.
Series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa announced on Monday that Chilling Adventures of Sabrina would be dropping a Christmas special this year. Some footage was then shown in Netflix’s Holiday teaser trailer.
Netflix has revealed the episode will be called, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale. As one would expect, the Spellmans are not celebrating Christmas, but are instead toasting the Winter Solstice. As Netflix put it, “families gather around the Yule Fire to sing pagan carols and tell ghost stories … [and] you never know what might come down the chimney.”
Judging by Sabrina’s hair, this special does occur after the season 1 finale. We won’t spoil why the hair is important if you haven’t watched season 1 yet, but it’s definitely worth noting where this falls in the chronology.
