Bandai’s Anime Heroes line is here, and with it comes some of your favorite characters in sturdy, stable action figure form.
Anime is bigger than ever in the U.S., and Bandai America is bringing some of that popularity to the action figure aisle. In a 6-inch scale, Anime Heroes is perfect for your shelves, and they come in at a price point that won’t put a hurt on your wallet like if you were importing figures from Japan.
Bandai sent us some of the figures to check out, and we have to say we’re pretty happy with them. Of definite note is that in all of the pictures you will see in this post, no assistance was needed to get them to stand up properly, always a feature we like in action figures. Sure we knocked them over more than once, but that was more a result of being in a photo box and us accidentally hitting it. Overall they stood up with no issues.
First up is Itachi Uchiha from Naruto. Standing 6.5-inches and coming with two additional sets of hands, you can get a lot of posing fun out of this figure. The coat can be slightly limiting, but it looks so good you won’t mind it.
Itachi Uchiha is a rogue ninja and member of an international criminal organization known as Akatsuki. Itachi is the older brother of Sasuke and former Leaf ninja. Itachi is a brilliant and deadly ninja. Following his death, Itachi’s motives were revealed to be more complicated than they seemed. At some point, Itachi contracted a terminal illness. He kept himself alive through the years with medicine and sheer willpower, so that he could live long enough to die by Sasuke’s hand. When Itachi died it was discovered he did everything for his brother and the Leaf village.

Second up is Uzumaki Naruto himself. Of all three figures we checked out, this one is easily our favorite.
From two additional sets of hands to the extra accessories, this 6.5-inch figure just begs to be played with and posed. He looks spot on to the anime, and he’s super easy to pose. Even when adding the accessories that could potentially throw him off balance, he was still easy to keep up on his feet.
If you’re a fan of Naruto, then this figure is a must purchase.
Naruto Uzumaki became the jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails. A fate that caused him to be shunned by most of Leaf Village, but with his never give up attitude and abilities, he eventually becomes adored and the hero of the Leaf Village.

Switching series, Knights of the Zodiac/Saint Seiya is one of the most popular anime series in the world, and it’s easy to see why when taking a look at this Sagittarius Aiolos figure. Standing 6.5-inches tall, this figure comes with an additional set of hands.
Of the three figures, this was the one we felt would give us the most issues getting him to stand up, but it is amazingly well balanced and easy to get into position. The wings do not make him back heavy as we feared, and that’s fantastic as it gives him such a fun silhouette.
While it would be nice if he came with some more accessories, the wings definitely make up for it.
Sagittarius Aiolos is the famous Gold Saint who died protecting Athena when she was an infant. Aiolos always was a paradigm of righteousness, seen as the perfect Saint. Not much is known about Aiolos, since he died before the main story began.
