Avengers: Endgame takes the top spot for a third weekend

It was a Marvelous Mother’s Day weekend for the folks at Marvel Studios.

First place went to Avengers: Endgame with $63.05M. Domestically it now sits at $723.49M domestically, and globally it has hit $2.485B, making it the second highest grossing film ever. Next target, Avatar at $2.78B. There’s still $300M to go, and with the box office numbers slowing down it might be a difficult hill to hike.

Detective Pikachu came in with $58M for second place. Globally it sits at $170.4M off of a $150M budget.

Third place went to The Hustle with $13.53M.

The Intruder came in fourth with $6.6M for a new domestic total of $20.97M off of a $8M budget.

Rounding out the top five was Long Shot with $6.12M for a new domestic total of $19.73M.

This week’s wide-releases will be A Dog’s Journey, The Sun Is Also a Star, and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
