The changes in film release dates just keep coming. The latest addition is A Quiet Place II. Originally scheduled for March 20, 2020, it was taken off the schedule altogether just a little over a week before its release. It then moved to Sept. 4, 2020. Then, in July of last year, it moved to April 23, 2021.

The latest change sees the new A Quiet Place II release date as being set for Sept. 17, 2021.

During several of the last moves, Paramount Pictures would also take the opportunity to move Top Gun: Maverick as well. This time it seems to be sticking with July 2, 2021. This has become an indication that studios are looking at July as the new target to get get theaters reopened.

Spring is quickly emptying with No Time to Die having already moved as well as multiple titles from Sony Pictures and 2oth Century Studios.

Fingers crossed this will be the last round of release date shifts, but we’ll jus have to wait and see.
