At long last, Disney Plus has released a Ms. Marvel trailer, and we know it will debut on the service on June 8.
Marvel Studios will again be using Disney Plus to introduce us to a brand-new character in the MCU. This time around its Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel. And not only are we finally getting a look at her debut, but we also know she will quickly make the jump to the big screen as well.
First introduced in the comics in 2013, Khan is a teenage Pakistani-American who idolizes Carol Danvers, better known as Captain Marvel. When Khan discovers she has shapeshifting powers, she gives herself the name of Ms. Marvel as an homage to her hero.
Not much is known about the plot of the series yet, but its first season will consist of six episodes and will lead directly to Kamala appearing in the second Captain Marvel movie in 2023 which is now called The Marvels.
Ms. Marvel is the second Disney Plus series to introduce a brand-new character to the MCU via a solo series, with the first being the upcoming Moon Knight.
With the June 8 release date, and Obi-Wan Kenobi debuting on May 25, this will be the firs time Disney Plus will have Star Wars and MCU shows overlapping.
