Diamond Select Toys had a booth filled with so many new items it was a bit overwhelming. The company has made a name for itself being able to bring quality products to market at reasonable prices, and it feels like it pays off in additional products every year.
Kicking off this year, we’ll show you the new comics-related products. DC had a smaller showing than usual, but the Batman: The Animated Series Joker and Harley Quinn busts were definite eye-catchers.
Over on the Marvel side of things, lots of new Marvel Gallery figures were on display, but, again, it was animation based offerings that got us. The X-Men animated line will add Deadpool and Sabertooth. Then, the 1990s Spider-Man animated series is going to kick off with the debut of Spider-Man and Mysterio as the first releases.
From the world of television and movies, there was a lot happening with Star Wars. A new seventh season Ahsoka Tano from the Clone Wars was on display that looked fantastic. She was joined by a new line of animated busts that will celebrate your favorite characters from the Clone Wars and Rebels.
And, of course, The Mandalorian has to chime in with some love as well.
The new Lord of the Rings figures will also be a Build-a-Figure line that will lead up a really nice figure of the dark lord himself, Sauron.
Avatar: The Last Airbender will be getting some new figures and a nice statue.
And, finally, Mrs. Claus from the Nightmare Before Christmas getting some figure love!
Wrapping things up will be Kitana and Scorpian from Mortal Kombat 11. While Kingdom Hearts will get a new Mickey Mouse bust and two new Sora figures.
Diamond continues to find ways to make affordable collectibles, and we always appreciate it. Expensive statues are nice, but sometimes you just really want something you can affordably enjoy.
