The Invisible Man takes the top spot at the box office

No matter how bad your initial marketing may have been, sometimes you can still overcome it.

The Invisible Man took the top spot this weekend surpassing its initial estimates to take in $29M domestically and $20.2M foreign for a total of $49.2M off of an estimated budget of $7M.

Second place went to Sonic the Hedgehog with $16M. The domestic total now stands at $128.29M and globally it sits at $265.49M off of a $90M budget.

The Call of the Wild came in third with $13.2M for a new domestic total of $45.86M. Globally it sits at $79.26M off of a budget of $125M

Fourth place went to My Hero Academia with $5M for a new domestic total of $8.44M.

Bad Boys for Life rounded out the top five with $4.3M domestic for a new total of $197.36M. Its global total sits at $405.36M.

This week’s wide releases will be Onward, The Way Back and Emma.
