It seems that the king of the seven seas may also be the kind of the box office.
Aquaman swam his way to the top of the box office easily this weekend with $67.4M. The movie has been out overseas for some time now so the global total already sits at $482.8M.
Second place went to Mary Poppins Returns with a fairly weak $22.23M. Globally it sits at $51.34M.
Bumblebee came in with $21M to land in third place.
Fourth place went to Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, which took in $16.7M. It now sits at $64.8M domestic and $129.6M global off of a $90M budget.
The Mule slipped into fifth place with $9.95M for a new total of $35.65M off of a $50M budget.
This week’s releases include Holmes and Watson and Vice.
