Another concert film has won the top spot at the box office as independent studios take a crack at success.

RENAISSANCE: A FILM BY BEYONCÉ took the top spot at the box office this weekend with $21M. It has taken in $6.4M overseas for a global debut of $27.4M.
Second place this weekend went to The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes with $14.5; this gives it a new domestic total of $121.24M. It has taken in $122.7M in foreign markets for a global total of $243.94M.
Godzilla Minus One came in third with $11M. It has taken in $23M in the foreign markets for a global total of $34.03M.
Fourth place went to Trolls Band Together with $7.6M for a domestic total of $74.83M. Overseas it has taken in $85.8M for a global total of $160.63M.
Wish rounds out the top five with $7.41M for a new domestic total of $41.95M. It has taken in $39.6M in the foreign markets for a total of $81.55M.
This week’s wide releases are The Boy and the Heron.
