In a hilarious homage to Sega’s iconic 1989 video game, Golden Axe follows legendary warriors Ax Battler, Tyris Flare and Gilius Thunderhead as they reunite to save Yuria from the evil giant Death Adder, who just won’t seem to stay dead.
Their quest is complicated by Hampton Squib, an inexperienced and wildly underprepared adventurer whose dream of heroism far exceeds his abilities. Forced to work together despite their flaws, they must find a way to stop Death Adder once and for all.

Along the infamous city bus route 87, dubbed “Route 187” after the police code for homicide, South Winslow’s residents navigate daily life in a city plagued by violence, poverty, and lost hope. When a routine bus ride erupts into tragedy, the community is shaken, and Mason James, a nerdy but relentless print journalist, becomes determined to uncover the truth behind the chaos.
As Mason digs into the city’s darkest corners, he discovers a serial killer has been operating undetected for years, forcing him to confront the harsh realities and hidden humanity of those living on society’s edge.
“Route 187” exposes a new crime or social ill, challenging viewers to reconsider their judgments as the complex lives of characters like William and Devon reveal that, in a city where survival is a daily struggle, most people are simply trying not to become victims or villains of their circumstances.
