Old takes the top spot at the box office

The film industry continues to attempt a recovery, but the weekend numbers were not the best for the latest window.

Old took the top spot at the box office with $16.5M for a quiet opening weekend.

Second place went to Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins with a massively disappointing $13.35M off of an $88M budget.

Black Widow slipped into third place with $1.6M in its third weekend. This brings its domestic total to $154.8M and a global total of $314.9M.

Fourth place went to Space Jam: A New Legacy with a mighty fall of 69% in its second weekend for $9.56M. Its new domestic total sits at $51.36M, and a global total of $93.96M.

Rounding out the top five was F9 with $4.6M for a domestic total of $163.29M. The global total now sits at $621.09M.

The next big releases are The Green Knight, Jungle Cruise, and Stillwater on July 30.
