Spider-Man swings back to the top of the box office

It appears that National Cinema Day paid off in some surprising ways.

Spider-Man: No Way Home — The More Fun Stuff Version came in first with $6M this weekend. Apparently, a rerelease with more footage was a good call.

Second place went to Top Gun: Maverick with $5.49M for a new domestic total of $698.82M. Globally it sits at $1.440B.

DC’s League of Super-Pets climbed back up the charts to lang in third place with $5.45M and a new domestic total of $80.8M and a global total of $153.2M.

Fourth place went to Bullet Train with $5.4M, for a new domestic total of $85.93M. Globally it stands at $196.83M.

The Invitation landed in fifth place with $4.7M for a new domestic total of $14.79M and a global total of $18.29M.

This week’s major releases are Barbarian, Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva, and Medieval.
