They may no longer be kids, but the Kids in the Hall sketch comedy series is set for a revival at Amazon.

Amazon has ordered an eight-episode revival of Kids in the Hall for its Amazon Prime Video service. All five original members – Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson – will be returning for the new episodes.

“Even after 30 years, ‘The Kids in the Hall’ has retained its brilliance and originality,” said executive producer, Lorne Michaels. “We are happy to be bringing back all of the original ‘Kids’ for the new series.”

The original run of Kids in the Hall debuted in 1989 on CBC in Canada and lasted for five seasons, ending in 1995. The troupe immediately followed this up with a film called Brain Candy. Over the years they have reunited for a few tours, and in 2010 released a limited series called Death Comes to Town which included some of their recurring characters.

Due to the title of the revival, and Michaels’ comments, it sounds as though this new revival will be a sketch comedy series again.

No word as of yet as to when the series will premiere.
