Jungle Cruise sails to the top of the box office

Disney took the top spot at the box office again this weekend despite its day-and-date strategy this year on Disney Plus.


First place this weekend went to Jungle Cruise with $34.18M. Internationally it took in $27.6M for a global box office total of $61.78M. It also took in $30M from Disney Plus for a grand total of $91.78M.

The Green Knight came in second with $6.78M.

Third place went to Old with a drop of 60% to take in $6.76M for a new domestic total of $30.61M. The global total sits at $48.6M.

Black Widow took in $6.42M for a new domestic total of $167.06M, and a new global total of $343.56M.

Fifth place went to Stillwater with an opening weekend of $5.12M.

The next wide release is The Suicide Squad on Aug. 5.
