First place went to the controversy-riddled Don’t Worry, Darling. It took in $19.2M in the U.S., slightly below projections. It took in $10.8M in the foreign markets for a $30M opening weekend.
The Woman King took second place with $11.145M for a new domestic total of $36.298M. Globally it sits at $37.598M.
The re-release of Avatar ahead of the long-awaited sequel took in $10M. It’s domestic total now sits at $770.5M and globally, it has hit $2.863B.
Barbarian took fourth place this week with $4.8M for a new domestic total of $28.43M. Internationally it has taken in $1M for a global total of $29.43M.
Rounding out the top five was Pearl with $1.918M for a new domestic total of $6.651M.
This week’s major releases are Bros and Smile.
