After months of rumors, it seems that the full returns of Daredevil and Kingpin are closer than ever.

According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio appear set to reprise the roles of Daredevil and Kingpin in the MCU once again. The actors originally portrayed the roles for the Marvel series on Netflix. Since those shows came back under the control of Disney, D’Onofrio has appeared in Hawkeye, while Cox had a brief came in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The rumor is that both actors will appear in the Echo series that will feature Alaqua Cox reprising her role as Maya Lopez, a pseudo-adopted daughter of Wilson Fisk. According to the report, Daredevil will be involved in the story as he looks for his missing ally, Jessica Jones who was played by Krysten Ritter in the Netflix series. The rumor is that she will also be returning to that role.

It appears that Disney Plus is going to be making a run at the street-level side of the MCU that was started in the interconnected Netflix series. If all of these appearances pan out, that would leave other named heroes from those series – Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Punisher, Misty Knight, and Colleen Wing – as other potential returns down the road.

Echo is currently filming and does not have a set release date as of yet. The belief is that it will appear on Disney Plus sometime in 2023.
