At long last, the Captain Marvel trailer has arrived. So far in the movies all anyone has seen of her on-screen has been Nick Fury flashing her logo on a pager, and now we can see why he felt he needed to bring her into the fight.
We have to give Marvel Studios kudos for how rapidly it establishes this film is set in the 1990s. Does anything say that faster than a Blockbuster Video? Nope, we don’t think so.
We are, however, disappointed, that in the youthful makeover of Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) he wasn’t given a mullet. What a missed opportunity that was.
Those of us who read comics have a pretty good idea why Captain Marvel would punch an old lady on a bus, but what will the general viewers think it’s about? That should be amusing to see.
Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8, 2019.
