Netflix has released the first Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F trailer, and it looks as though Axel is heading back to see his friends.
Eddie Murphy is returning to one of his most iconic roles: Detective Axel Foley. He last played the character and the much-derided Beverly Hills Cop III in 1994, meaning by the time this film releases, it will have been 30 years since we last checked in with him.
Nearly all of the old characters will be returning to join up with him, as well as some new ones. What the exact plot of the film is is unknown at this time.
Mark Molloy is directing from a script by Will Beall, Tom Gormican, and Kevin Etten.
Detective Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) is back on the beat in Beverly Hills. After his daughter’s life is threatened, she (Taylour Paige) and Foley team up with a new partner (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and old pals Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton) to turn up the heat and uncover a conspiracy.
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F will be released on Netflix in Summer 2024
