Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom wins the weekend at the box office

2023 is drawing to a close, and the studios are racing to get those last few dollars of the year.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom took the top spot with $28.1M at the domestic box office. It took in a further $80.1M in the foreign markets for a global total of $108.2M.

Second place went to Wonka with $17.7M, a drop of 55%, for a new domestic total of $75.2M. It has taken in $171.3M in the foreign markets – where it has been open for slightly longer – for a global total of $246.5M.

Migration opened in third place with $12.31M. It took in a further $13.69M in the foreign markets for a global total of $26M.

Fourth place went to Anyone But You with $6.23M.

Salaar: Cease Fire — Part 1 opened in fifth place with $5.48M.

The Boys in the Boat, The Color Purple, and Ferrari all open today and close out the wide releases for 2023.
