Ant-Man takes the top spot at the box office

Ant-Man decided to grow large instead of shrinking as he took the top spot at the box office.

First place this week went to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania with an opening weekend of $104M. Internationally it took in $121.3M for a global total of $225.3M.

Avatar: The Way of Water landed in second place with $6.118M for a new domestic total of $657.075M. The international total now stands at $1.586B for a global total of $2.243B.

Third place went to Magic Mike’s Last Dance with $5.52M for a new domestic total of $18.11M. It has taken in $19.6M in the foreign markets for a global total of $37.71M.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish Landed in fourth place with $5.26M for a domestic total of $166.07M. Combined with its foreign haul of $256.51M, it now stands at $422.59M

Rounding out the top five was Knock at the Cabin with $3.9M for a new domestic total of $30.37M. It has taken in $16.91M at the foreign markets for a global total of $47.28M.

The wide release this week are Cocaine Bear, Jesus Revolution, and My Happy Ending.
